In Silver gilt, a bravery medal showing Admiral Horthy facing right encircled by the inscription VITEZ NAGYBANYAI HORTHY MIKLOS MAGYARORSZAG KORMANYZOJA, the reverse showing the Hungarian coat of arms with crossed swords behind with the inscription VITEZSEGERT, marked 987 and Hungarian Cross on rim near suspension, marked BERAN L. at 6 o’clock, worn on the original ribbon with an Oak Leaves device in Gold, measures 40.4mm (diameter), the oak leaves device measures 30.5 mm (w) x 19.4 mm (h), weighs 23.41 grams (including ribbon and device), small scratches and light contact, a very rare medal in extremely fine condition.
Accompanied by the case of issue, a red exterior featuring the Hungarian crown, creme coloured silk interior lid with recessed velvet medal bed, measures 66 mm (w) x 116 mm (h) x 20 mm (d), light wear, hinge and clasp functional, in extremely fine condition.
