Germany, Heer. A Task Booklet For Civilian Construction Engineer Of The Army (Croatian Zvonimir Order 3Rd Class W/Swords)

The Einsatzbuch (task booklet) for Gefolgschaftsmitglieder des Heeres (auxiliary civilian members of the army) is dated to March 16, 1943. The owner’s name is difficult to read, but it is most likely Oskar Huß or Huss. He was born on July 19, 1891 and worked as a construction engineer in Heeresbauamt II Wien (Army Construction Department 2 Vienna). Two entries into the booklet are of special interest. Several instances of extra payments due to front service between September 1943 and August 1944 have been noted. Additionally, Huss was awarded the Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir 3rd Class with Swords on February 27, 1945.
