This bottle comes from the Saburomaru Distillery in Japan. Distilled in 2019 and bottled this year as a 6-year-old, this is one of the few longest aged Saburomaru in existence. This whisky is heavily peated, on the nose with grilled bacon, bonfire, minerals, wet rocks, river banks, vanilla seeds, lemon tart, rosemary. The palate is peated, with pine needle, mild woodiness, stone fruits, apricots and ash.
