Over a decade in the making, the wait is finally over for European fans of symphonic metal. Former Nightwish vocalist Anette Olzon has announced her return to European stages, marking her first tour on the continent since 2012. This exclusive, limited-run tour will be entirely dedicated to the acclaimed albums she recorded with Nightwish: Dark Passion Play (2007) and Imaginaerum (2011).

Fans can expect a nostalgic and high-energy journey, featuring hits such as "Amaranth", "Bye Bye Beautiful", "Storytime", and "The Poet and the Pendulum". Notably, this tour will feature the live European debut of several songs from these albums that were never performed live by the band during her tenure, making this a historic event for followers of the symphonic metal genre.

“It is with great excitement that I finally bring these songs back to Europe,” says Anette Olzon. “I know how much these two albums mean to the fans, and they mean the world to me too. It’s been a long time, and I cannot wait to share these special nights with you and feel that incredible energy again.”

Since her departure from Nightwish in 2012, Anette has established a successful solo career with albums like Shine (2014), Strong (2021), and Rapture (2024), along with the project The Dark Element. However, this tour marks a special, focused return to the era that solidified her position as a major voice in metal.

The announcement comes on the heels of a 2025 South American tour, which was hailed as a triumphant return for Olzon, moving thousands of fans and proving the timelessness of her performances. The overwhelming demand from that tour accelerated plans to bring this special show to Europe.

The 2026 European tour promises to deliver the grandeur of the Dark Passion Play and Imaginaerum era, blending cinematic, symphonic power with Anette's signature vocal performance.

About Anette Olzon
Anette Olzon is a Swedish vocalist best known as the frontwoman of Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish from 2007 to 2012. She recorded two studio albums with the band, both of which achieved massive global success, including platinum and gold certifications. Her tenure was marked by a shift towards a more orchestral and melodic sound in the band’s history.
