Adidas Y-3 Kaiwa

Adidas’ Y-3 sub brand is arguably one of the most recognizable lines of footwear that the Three Stripes produces, due in large part to the unmistakable aesthetic created by the brand’s leader Yohji Yamamoto.

Next up from Y-3 and the German Sportswear Brand is a brand new silhouette, the Kaiwa, that comes dressed in a simple black and white color scheme. Equipped with a high-top construction, the Kaiwa ushers in a deconstructed aesthetic that is furthered by exposed stitching that lends to a number of panels and layers. One of the sneaker’s focal points is an exaggerated midfoot outrigger that features “Yohji Yamamoto” to go along with his signature on the underside of the tongue.
